Ariano Suassuna and the Cordel

Due to the importance that Cordel Literature in the work of Ariano Suassuna, and due to the passionate defense that the writer always made of this form of Popular Culture, Ariano was the subject of many cordel pamphlets, made by important authors.

Some of them celebrates important dates and occasions, others talk about his work, or bring together popular poets. Among them, we highlight the touching tributes on the occasion of the author's death, such as A Chegada de Ariano Suassuna no Céu, in 2014.
