ARMORIAL SECOND PHASE

After the so-called Experimental Phase, the Movimento Armorial had its second phase designated by Ariano with the neologism Romançal. On December 18, 1975, the Orquestra Romançal Brasileira, founded by him, opened at the Teatro Santa Isabel. With Suassuna heading the Secretariat of Education and Culture of Recife, the Armorial became very active, until he left the position in May, 1978.

During this period, they participated extensively together with Suassuna, his wife Zélia, their son Manuel Dantas and the artist Romero de Andrade Lima. In 1981, he retired, for a time, from public life, limiting his activity to teaching at the Federal University of Pernambuco. During this period of reclusion, the author who had already concluded the Iluminogravuras album Dez Sonetos com Mote Alheio (1980), produces the album Sonetos de Albano Cervonegro (1985). The two albums have the same basic characteristics of representation, lines, composition and occupation of the pictorial space, and together they form a single book: a kind of poetic autobiography.
